My name is Kristen Wilson, and I am a licensed speech-language pathologist. I have been practicing in the field for almost 19 years! I am also a mom to four children ages 17 to 7. I have always loved my job for the flexibility it has provided me during these years of raising my own children. And, I have always been extremely thankful for the knowledge that I have about "typical" development and about strategies to enhance the speech and language development of my own children. As I have worked with many, many children across many, many settings, it has become clear to me how important early learning is. To some parents, this seems to come more naturally, to others it comes less easily. But most of us, at one time or another, have looked to other sources to help us understand how to best help our children. I hope that this site will help assist you in your own quest to help your children learn, grow and become great communicators!
